Standing on the banks of a swimming hole I've known since I was a kid (also the location for my Elk Coast photoshoot), I couldn't help but admire Connie's toughness — and generosity!
A good family friend, she reluctantly agreed to brave the frigid early spring waters so I could get the shot I needed. She warned me that she could probably only give me one take, so I set up knowing that I might only have one chance.
With true Elk Coast grit, Connie ended up going for five passes!
I was so pleased with the resulting image (top), and so incredibly grateful to Connie for giving her all.
